Review
The Ender's Game is an innovative book with an interesting plot. The story follows the young protagonist, Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, through Battle School, where young students are trained to become commanders for the Earth's war against the insectoid species, "Buggers". The novel can be quite challenging to follow at times, but the story ends up tying all ends. The main reason I enjoyed this book was due to it's constant action. There was never a dull moment! It also had an emotional aspect to, gaining the reader's sympathy for Ender. The young boy's bravery impresses and his coldness shocks the reader. There are conflicting emotions throughout the book, but the underlying theme is one of violence. The book also contains certain gory sections, which may not appeal to certain readers. The language of the book is very simple, which is one aspect of the book that did not appeal to me. Overall, I found the effect the book presented quite impressive and I will recommend it.
